Take the Dream with You

Oh, 2015, what a year you have been. I'd like to say that it's been quite the year of adventure. Looking back on photos, past blog posts, and videos reminds me how blessed I've been this year.

When 2015 began, I knew I wanted to make a change. I wanted to say "yes" to more opportunities, put myself out there, and just grow more confident in myself. Most of my life I've spent living up to a standard I expected to have, and when I didn't live up to it, I was degraded and laughed at. So confidence has never been a strong attribute of mine at all. But after some hardships that closed out 2014, I knew 2015 was a time to change things around.

An Open Letter to CPs Finishing Their Disney College Program

Dear friends,

In about two weeks time, your semester on the Disney College Program will come to an end. You are about to have a lot of "lasts." There will be a last time you get an assignment on your least or most favorite position. There will be the last time you work with a dear friend or least favorite person. And on that final day, you will clock in and later say goodbye to Mickey as he says "Thanks for making the magic!" for the last time. And you will most likely shed a tear. Trust me, I've done this before.

Welcome to My Own NEW Little Corner!

Hey friends! Long time, no blog. About two weeks ago I shared that one of my goals was to launch a brand new blog, and here it is! I have made the odd jump from Wordpress to Blogger, and so far I am loving it! When I first started dipping my toes in the world of blogging, the first platform I used was Blogger, so it's nice to come back and discover the new ways I can make this this best it can be!

We’re All Mad Here: My First 8 Weeks of the DCP

I guess I should start off by saying that by “we’re all mad here,” I should replace the “we’re” with “I’m” since I’m the actually mad one.

It has officially been 8 weeks since I began my second DCP. I had hoped to be posting a weekly update for you all, but once you finish this post, you will understand why I haven’t done so, but what I hope to be doing in the future.

#90DaysPositive: Choosing to Make the Most of My Life

I'd like to think that I am an overall happy person. Nothing tragic has happened to me in quite a long time, I am in good health, my family is in good health, I have a job, good friends, etc.

But lately, I have found more negativity and sadness coming out of my mouth than positivity.

DCP Bucket List - #CPAlumni Version

As a CP Alumna, you're probably wondering why I'm making a bucket list post. Shouldn't I have accomplished all the things on my first program, especially since I was advantage? Well, yes. But, here's the thing: I was a Spring CP last time and now I'm Fall, and also I didn't have a car so I didn't get to go on many outside-of-Disney adventures. So of course there are things I didn't get to experience last time that now I have the chance to! Also, my first DCP was back in 2013, and a lot has changed since then.

Here's my DCP Bucket List - #CPAlumni Version!

Now is the Time to (Finally) Seize the Day: Seeing Newsies on Tour

On Saturday, the day I thought would never come finally came. It was finally time to make the almost four-hour trek to DC to see NEWSIES on Tour. I was so nervous leading up to this day. I wanted everything to go as smoothly as possible. Considering last time I made this attempt, it went anything but smooth.

A Year of Friendship

This is going to be a sappy post and there are no regrets or sorries about it.
One year ago, I decided to take a chance and meet up with a few girls who I had been talking to on Twitter for a little while at the Disney 24-hour event. It was completely out of my comfort zone, and could have ended badly, but I met them up with them at Pinnochio's Village Haus in Fantasyland. At first, it was slightly awkward because we knew one another from our (then) anonymous Disney-themed Twitter accounts, and had only seen each other's faces on one or two posts.

April 2015: Moving back to Florida, Getting Sentimental, & 8 Days Until Commencement!

Look! I'm actually writing my monthly reflection on time this month! 2 points for me!
Anyway, another month of 2015 has passed. The first quarter of 2015 has come and gone. WHAT?!

March 2015: Spring Break, Interviews, & Lessons Learned

I need to get better at posting these reflections at the end of the month, because you'd be surprised how much can happen in the first few weeks of a month.
But you'll find out about that craziness next post.

February 2015: Crazy projects, cool accomplishments, & crying over The Last Five Years

Another month has come and gone, friends. I can't believe it's already March, and then tomorrow begins my week-long spring break trip to Walt Disney World. It's been 7 months since I've eaten a dole whip, watched Wishes, and screamed on Splash Mountain.
But anyway, February. February was a bit of a struggle. Online classes got more rigorous, residential classes became way more demanding than I anticipated, and work also got busier. But, I am glad to say that I made it through, and have also made it halfway through my final undergrad semester. The crazy project that took up the last bit of February was my capstone group project that needless to say, did not turn out to be my best work. However, there's some time to improve, and I'll leave it at that.

Review: THE LAST FIVE YEARS Soundtrack & Movie

You've heard me talk about it.
You've seen me tweet about it.
Now what is this whole THE LAST FIVE YEARS thing about?
Well, I'm going to tell you why I love this little musical so much.

January 2015: Getting Published, 97 Days Until Commencement, and more

Well, here we are! The last day of the first month of 2015. I can't believe that tomorrow will be February 1.

My plan is that on the last day of every month, I will write a reflection post on what I have done during the month. Some months may be more exciting than others, but I guess I'll find out!

The Final Chapter: GLEE Season 6 Premiere (Spoilers)

Tonight, the final season of Glee had its two-hour premiere. Now for the last five years, Glee has brought audiences on one heck of a cross-country roller coaster ride. And this episode was just that. The first 13 minutes were some of the most dramatic 13 minutes I have ever seen on television. Basically, we all watched our beloved characters' lives and relationships fall apart at the seams. They said Rachel was in hiding for too long? Audiences felt the same exact way.
