A Much Needed Fall Break

Two weeks ago was Liberty's fall break. Normally, I do not go anywhere for fall break; I just stay home and work a little extra. But this time around, I was able to go home with my friend Jess and on Friday we got to go to my favorite place: New York City. I was so excited to actually be traveling for fall break, and maybe it would actually feel like a break.
And it did, especially this year.

This semester has not started off easy, to say the least. I feel like I have been in the back of a steep and scary roller coaster that will not let me off. With all that has been happening, I began to not only look forward to fall break because of having an adventure and going to NYC one of the days, but because it would a much needed time of rest and away from drama.

And it sure was.

No, I didn't get to see a show, but Friday was one of my favorite days because we went to New York. I love that city so much. We didn't get to stay very long, but I got to see parts of it that I have never explored or haven't seen since my first time in 8th grade. And to my pleading, I got to go back to the Nederlander and see the new marquee with my own eyes. I can't believe that Newsies is no longer there (and replaced by a show about Vegas, really?!). But that was one of the things I wanted to do while back in NYC.

And now I'm back in the flow of the semester. Luckily, I don't feel as stressed and crazed as I did before break, but I'm just waiting for the day when things go back to normal, well as normal as possible. So here's to the rest of the semester and just watching what happens.
