Yes, I know I haven't posted for a month. I'm sorry, life has gotten crazy. Let me explain to you how crazy this month has been:
- Completed two giant group projects
- Went Black Friday shopping! ...and then returned 80% of the things I bought. #frugal
- Got called by Disney Theatrical Group for a job that I applied for but had to turn it down because they wanted me to start during Thanksgiving but I'm not done with school yet and live too far from NYC to commute.
- Saw Big Hero 6! Seriously, go see this movie. I laughed, I cried, and liked it more than I expected to.
- Livetweeted Peter Pan Live!, got retweeted by Broadway.com 4 times, and was then featured in their fan article because of one of my tweets!
- Completed my final fall semester of my undergraduate degree! #WHAT
I'm sure there was more that happened, but those are the highlights. Some of those may seem cool, others not, others are a huge deal to me but you may not care. Oh well!
Anyway, this has been one crazy semester that I am glad is done, over, and behind me. I learned a lot not only in the classroom or at work, but I learned a lot about myself as well. Want to know what I learned? Go read some of my previous blog posts. It'll make sense. There were some highs and many lows, but I came out of it with my head above the water and that is what I can ask and be grateful for.
Last week, I went to two of my favorite end-of-the-fall-semester traditional Liberty events: Christmas Convo and Christmas Coffeehouse. Those were both fun times, but of course there were so many Frozen puns and songs I thought I was going insane. And all my friends loved my facial reaction every time the first chords to "Let It Go" came through the speakers. Disney Cast Member problems, what can I say?
Last but not least, you may be wondering what the "lifestyle change" means. Well, it has to do with weight loss. You know that Weight Watchers commercial that's a spoof off of "If You're Happy and You Know it"? Terrible yet effective commercial. Well, that's been on my mind a lot lately. I told myself that I want to look the best I have ever been on Commencement Day, which is 148 days away (sorry seniors if I just scared you, but it's true). With the industry I want to go in; marketing, advertising, and eventually NYC and Broadway, you have to keep yourself healthy and look semi-appealing. And you also have to feel good about yourself. Well, I was mentioning to a friend of mine yesterday how I wanted to lose weight, and he had an answer. He told me about this line called Isagenix, which is one of those 30-day weight loss supplement and cleansing programs. And he happened to have an extra 30-day supply because he was going to do a metabolism one instead. So he gave it to me, and challenged me to stick to it, because it works and he has seen it work for other people. So today is Day 1, and so far so good. And honestly this is the best time to start because it is winter break, and there is less temptation of stress eating and awkward sleep schedules. So I am making the change, and I have a goal. I'm not going to tell you what that it, but at the end of the 30 days I will.
So, if you have made it this far reading my post, you rock! So I would like to ask something of you. Please pray for me throughout the next 30 days that I stick to it. Also, if you have any encouraging words, tweet me at twitter.com/danielleashly or comment below.
